Golden Salami Online Shop

Golden Salami’s range of delicacies have been developed with the health conscious New Zealander in mind.

Golden Salami is produced in Golden Bay , using a traditional slow curing process. The beef used comes mainly from our two family farms in Nelson province where both we and our son rear Sussex cattle without growth promotants. Pork products are purchased locally. Herbs and spices are GE free.

The salami contains no artificial colouring, preservatives or nitrites (which means that the red colour will darken after cutting). If a white ‘bloom’ develops on the salami wipe off with a dry cloth.

Refrigeration is not necessary, making salami an excellent choice for tramping and camping. Once removed from the vacuum pack they will continue to dry and improve (apart from the Aorere which should be consumed within three weeks of opening).


Storage should be a cool dry place, fridge or deep freeze. Please contact us if you are not satisfied.

Wainui

Italian style salami made with beef, pork fat, red wine and spices with a mild garlic flavour. Minimum weight 500g for whole salami.

Aorere

Bulgarian style salami made from beef, spices and red wine. This salami has got a lower fat content and therefore a much lower shelf life than the other 3 varieties. Weeks rather than months after vacuum pack are opened. It is also smaller than the other varieties. Minimum weight 400g for whole salami.
